I have mixed feelings about Jeremy Clarkson – sometimes he makes me laugh, but other times he really seems to believe some of the things he says about foreigners and speed limits, which I disagree with. As I get older I find I can deal with people who I disagree with much better, and I enjoy Clarkson’s irreverant sense of humour, so I think on balance I like him.
I have very mixed feelings about Jezza. He’s a very entertaining broadcaster with a great way with words (once describing a japanese 4×4 as feeling like ‘it was made of lettuce’!).
But I find him a bit too gung-ho about the primacy of the car. Plus, his skepticism about the human causes of climate change is, I believe, derived more from his love of cars than a consideration of the evidence.
