• Question: how old are you and what is your main job?? :)

      Hi Liam – I am 46 years young/old.

      My job title is ‘Professor’, but that doesn’t mean much. I run a research group: together we do experiments, mostly to study virus molecules. This is the best bit of the job!

      I also have to do a fair bit of admin to keep things running. Plus I am involved in teaching – giving lectures and running laboratory practicals for undergraduate and postgraduate students. That can be fun too (when the students ask interesting questions!) – but I don’t like the marking.
