• Question: in what way could neutrinos ever affect my everyday life

      No way. They pass through you, all the time, as if you are not even there.

      They are important when we think about the Universe. For example their tiny mass means we can account for some of the “missing” mass of the Universe (starts and planets etc only make up about 4 % of the universe- what is the rest?).

      One of the main questions is what happened to the antimatter? When the universe was created the same amount of matter and antimatter should have been created…but somehow there was a bit extra matter which meant that the universe as we see it has formed. But why? hopefully neutrinos can help us answer this question.

      So it won’t help your day to day life, but it will impact on the future of the universe!
