As far as I know, I am the only person who says that… 😉 (It’s still true though and don’t let anyone tell you any different).

Seriously, there are some real differences between ginger people and others. We are more sensitive to the sun — I burn easily and usually wear a hat and suncream in the summer.

I believe I read somewhere recently that we also have a lower pain threshold – and therefore may need higher doses of local anaesthetics for minor operations. Poor us!

Here’s the science: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/mid/NIHMS5931/ (just look at the abstract or summary to see what they say…)

P.S. Missed the last bit of your Q: yes, I am a natural redhead. I was born in Northern Ireland so my ancestry might have something to do with that.

      Hi whalefish
Maybe I should have used a better picture ’cause what little hair I have is not ginger 🙂
