Do you mean in my research?

OK, we are involved in an experiment in Japan. We fire a beam of particles called neutrinos across Japan to a huge detector beneath the mountains in Japan, 295km away. We have a smaller detector 280m away from the source of the beam, so that we can characterise the beam before it travels that long distance. In the UK we work on this detector called the Near Detector. I was involved in trying to build a part of the Near Detector. I was trying to find out what were the best materials to use and how best to build it. I also build a small prototype version and tested it out. I had to make sure that it didn’t leak and that it was robust and did the job we required it to, and also that it would last 10 years.
