      This question is about like the one I answered at the top of my profile, so I am going to paste the same answer here (I’m not being lazy, but I thought really hard about it earlier – I don’t think I can say it any better).       “Doing things no-one has done before whether it is devising new experiments or spotting patterns no-one has noticed. Best of all is coming up with new ideas that predict what will happen in future experiments and help to explain how the brain works. If the predictions turn out to be true, it’s incredibly satisfying!”
