• Question: when companies ship styrofoam, what do they rap it in?

      Hehe. Actually it would be better to ship the raw ingredients, as the foam contains alot of bubbles (air?), which would waste valuable space on the boat/train/plane. Or perhaps they could ship it in boxes of HD TVs.

      Styrofoam is almost unknown now because it is not very biodegradable and therefore very environmentally unfriendly. You hardly ever see in packaging these days. Companies have found out how to be a bit more creative with cardboard – or made a new type of foam beads from corn that degrades easily.
