• Question: why and how do we get headaches?

      Hi Kayleigh – excellent question. Everyone suffers from headaches from time to time, including me.

      However, I have not made much of a study of this. There are several different problems that cause headaches which I *think* lead to what is called inflammation. I’m not entirely sure what inflammation is (apart from being part of the way that the body responds to infection or injury).

      I am guess-timating here since some of the medicines that you can take for a headache, such as ibuprofen (aka neurofen) are known as anti-inflammatory drugs.

      Hey Kayleigh I have heard that we get headaches when we are dehydrated. Also if you have a tumour or something like that, or a migraine, which have lots of causes. If ever I have a headache I just drink a glass of water and go for a walk rather than taking paracetamol.
