• Question: why does garlic make your breath smell? and why does it seem to linger?

      There must be some chemical in garlic that lingers in the mouth when you have eaten something cooked in it. I had a quick look on Wikipedia and it seems likeDiallyl Sulfide is the main contributor to the smell.

      But it doesn’t bother me because I love the taste of the food so much!

      According to Garlic Central (!?) This is because the sulpherous compounds in garlic feed the bacteria responsible for bad breath (halitosis).

      I love garlic!
