Question: my sister is wondering that if you condition something with something else eg, eating chewing gum while revising and then if you go to the exam while eating chewing gum you are likely to understand quicker the things that you had revised while eating the chewing gum, is this true?

it help when you smell something while revising and smell the same scent while doing the test because the how you smell is connected directly to the brain or something like that

I think things like that can happen . For example, when I hear certain songs, it often triggers a memory of a particular event. There is one Frank Sinatra number that I always associate with being in the car as a child driving through a beautiful part of Donegal (in north-west Ireland)…
(I should explain – I wasn’t driving: my Dad was.)
I guess there is some way to exploit this sort of connectivity between different senses to help us learn but I haven’t yet figured out how to do it.
If you do any experiments, let mw know how you get on!
