I do like it – though I’m not quite as addicted as my kids. I thought that David Tennant really breathed new life into the show, even if I wasn’t super-impressed by every single episode. I thought that the 2-parter set in the library with the particles of dark was especially good and that his final show he did was very moving.
I enjoyed the very first episode with the new Doctor, Matt Smith. I thought he did really well, as did Karen Gillan as Amy Pond. I think it’s always best when Doctor Who has a ginger assistant – Donna Noble was my all time favourite! 😉
But I confess I haven’t been gripped by the latest series so much. I can’t quite believe in a Doctor Who who looks so young. That’s probably resentment on my part because I’m so old now…!
😀 samee!! but it was my brother who was obsessed he absolutley loved david tennant and so i know basically every detail of every episode 🙂
Yes David just felt much better as the doctor but i think Matt is still a good actor.
The vashta nerada episode (scilence in the library) was really good!!
I think the episode with James Corden the other week was maybe my favourite with Matt Smith.
This series seems too immature or made for a younger audience than previous series :/ I dunno why it’s just David Tennant seemed more intelligant and put more complexity into the programme.
However I am rather excited for this saturdays episode, i’d like to see how they get their way out of this, it can’t be the end!
Well i could go on for ever about this subject seeing as my younger brother has hammered every fact into my head and watched every individual episode at least fifty times, but i like to talk about it probably mainly because i actually know stuff about it.
Wow reading back on that i look like such a big nerd!! hahah 🙂
How i wish there was a GCSE in it, then I’d for sure get A* hahah 😉 lol i am a dr.who freak, ashamed.
I think the latest series is back to the best its ever been. I grew up with Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker. They were great, and in those days the acting and writing was (most weeks) fab. Then it started to go downhill. It was great when Dr Who came back with proper special effects and everything, but I got a bit fed up with the constant Earth will be destroyed in 5 minutes unless we can “reverse the polarity” scenarios. Now we have great acting, great writing and great special effects. The James Corden episode was brilliant.

Tom Baker was the best but David Tennant definitely brought the show back to life.

Lizzie – there is no shame whatsoever in being a nerd. Be proud!
My daughter is very proud to be one – search for ‘Curry’ on this page to see what I mean! 😉

Proof, if any more were needed, that I do like Dr Who – and am the friend of a friend of Amy Pond!
